The Action Ridge Gun Violence Prevention Committee:
- Advocates for sensible gun laws
- Informs and take action when needed; engages with the Park Ridge Police Department
- Fought against a 2019 resolution to arm school teachers and succeeded
- Gathers information from a variety of sources and distribute vital pieces to Action Ridge
- Participates in the SAFE Illinois Honor with Action Zoom calls
- Participates in actions including gathering witness slips, sending emails, and making phone calls to support legislation
- Opposes new legislation to allow school staff who have been trained to carry firearms
- Participated in Lunch and Lobby session with Sarah Knizhnik through Newtown Alliance
